I have a deep interest in foundational issues and scientific knowledge making practices. My research thus far involved working across philosophy of science and history of science. My work combines conceptual and historical analysis and archival work on different aspects of scientific knowledge making across different historical periods.  

I grew up on a small farm in an area that is both agriculturally productive and prone to droughts and where irrigation infrastructure had not been a reality whilst growing up, making each harvest deeply uncertain. My latent interests in water came to fruition during my MSc in Public Policy at the University of Bristol where I found myself increasingly drawn to water and uncertainty issues. I have written brief reports and policy briefs on river rights and the UN sustainable goal on clean water and sanitation, indigenous water rights, and local-based solutions to water scarcity. My dissertation focussed on the privatisation of water utilities in England and Wales, particularly on systemic and environmental failures and poor long-term infrastructure planning, especially for strategic resource options. 

I took courses in Policy analysis, Public policy for a complex and uncertain world, and The economics of public policy which equipped me with policy-relevant foresight analysis expertise.  In joining DAWN, I hope to investigate water irrigation; its impact on freshwater resources, DAWand its role in the global water crisis, as well as contribute to timely epistemic and policy conversations on water pricing for agriculture, strategic water resources, water rights, and foundational issues in uncertainty.
